Plenty of people don't understand that the using mascara and eyeliner is usually as important as the products themselves. If you can not apply them correctly, they can have the opposite effect to what you're trying to achieve.
Mascara.
Deciding on a good mascara 's critical, in case you have short eyelashes, choose a lengthening and thickening mascara. These also create the illusion there is more eyelashes, so your eyes will appear more defined.
Though a lot of people often stay with black, mascaras can be bought in many colours, navy and electric blue, brown, green, clear and even sparkly.
The "rules" are many more flexible with mascara than they are with things like eyeshadow, you can wear almost any colour you wish, whatever your eye colour.
You'll have fun experimenting with the effects that different colours create.
Application:
Open the mascara tube and hold the wand outside the tube for about 1 minute, this may dry a few of the excess mascara out, this helps avoid the dreaded clumps. That is a tip used by make up artists.
Hold the wand at the base of your lashes, gently wiggle the wand back and forth whilst moving it up the lashes. This will ensure that all the lashes are coated maintained your body helps to avoid clumps.
Continue right to the tip within your lashes and make the mascara dry. Once the primary layer is dry, perform repeatedly the procedure.
Also you can use the wand to fan the outer eyelashes outwards; this will create the illusion of more eyelashes and a bigger eye.
Some eyelashes are longer than others, follow this as a guideline, and don't try to make your complete lashes the same length, this will look false and unnatural.
Eyeliner.
As with mascara, despite the selection of colours available, a lot of people tend to stick with black. Avoid getting afraid to experience new colours! You will find other ways to use eyeliner which is based what look you will need to for.
Bigger eyes:
For bigger eyes select a dark colour like brown, green, navy or black, before you use mascara, sketch a line on your lash line on the eyelid. Keep it nice and close to the eyelashes, this particular may need some practice.
Smudge it carefully with a cotton bud so the line is more natural and much less harsh.
At this point draw a line along your bottom lashes, it need to start just before the outside corner of the eye. Looking in the mirror, follow the line of the lashes, again ensure that it stays nice and close. The line should stop in below the centre of your pupil when you find yourself looking directly into the mirror. Smudge and blend with a cotton bud.
Definition.
If you have large eyes, you can find away with lining the inside your eyes. This isn't advisable to do everyday, but for special occasions it's fine.
Having a a little bit sharpened eyeliner, wash the pencil using a wet wipe; it will clear away any traces of sharpenings and dirt.
Draw a line inside your lashes; one coat of eyeliner should be plenty. Pull the eyelid very slightly to prevent drawing on your eyeball.Hold the pencil vertically and draw a line within your top lashes. Softly shut your eyes for two seconds, this helps to spread the colour more equally. This can be finished with a white or flesh coloured eye pencil to scale back the looks of any redness.
